Cashless Society

A controlled, cashless environment for correctional facilities. Every resident has an account they can check, transfer from and spend from, secured by biometrics.

How money moves without cash

From the first deposit to the day of release, every movement of money is a recorded transaction against the resident's account.

  1. Deposit registered

Cash brought in for a resident is registered at the cashier and credited to their account.

  2. Resident account

Residents check their balance and transactions, and transfer funds between accounts.

  3. Canteen

Canteen purchases are paid from the account instead of in cash.

  4. Payout on release

The remaining balance is paid out to the resident on release.

Why take cash out of the facility

Cash inside a facility has to be counted, stored and guarded, and it can change hands with no record at all.

With Cashless Society, money only moves as a transaction on a resident's account. Residents can still check their funds, transfer money and buy from the canteen, and the facility keeps a complete record of every movement.
